An interesting double-folio world map on a north polar projection, reflecting Buache's sometimes eccentric theories about the interior features of the planet.

The original color corresponds to a key, identifying the purpose of each of five colors. Note the Sea of the West in North America, of Buache, along with Delisle, was a strong proponent, and the absent eastern Australian coast, this dating from just before the first Pacific voyage of Cook.
