According to David Jolly (Maps in British Periodicals, GAL-92) this is among the maps from this rare magazine that is not a mere copy of an existing map. This is among the rarest of the eighteenth century British magazines, far rarer than Gentleman's Magazine or London Magazine, with which its name could be confused.

Jolly, in his 1991 book, notes that the copies of the magazine in the British Library and the New York Public Library are missing (ours comes from a reputable source).
